After enjoying that cranberry tart on Thanksgiving (recipe from this post), I decided to play with a holiday cocktail using the leftover cranberry syrup filling. The results were delicious! I thought I would share my recipe with our followers. It’s a great addition to any holiday gatherings. The cranberry mixture is just the right mix of sweet and tart.
Cranberry Cocktail Recipe:
.75oz Cranberry Simple Syrup Mixture
.75oz lime juice
Splash of simple syrup
Rosemary for garnish
Mix all ingredients into shaker and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
We made this for the tart, so this yields about 1/2 cup of syrup. You can adjust the recipe to make less or you can make the full recipe and refrigerate the extra to enjoy throughout the holiday season.
1.5 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
12 oz bag of cranberries
Bring sugar and water to a boil. Add cranberries and cover for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir. Strain cranberries.
