I walked in to Bloomingdale’s a few weeks ago and they had this really beautiful mannequin with a jade green sweater and black leather leggings that looked so classic and cool at the same time! With the holidays upon us, I decided to make my obsessed article this month on JADE!
Yes, I stole the name of this article from OPI’s nail polish because right now “jade IS the new black” for me. I am OBSESSED! I have some ideas to share with you to help incorporate jade into your home and wardrobe this winter!
FOR YOUR WARDROBE
PURCHASE A JADE GREEN COAT
Using my original inspiration that turned me on to the color jade this season, the Bloomingdale’s mannequin, purchasing a jade coat is an easy way to incorporate it into your existing wardrobe without too much investment. Pair it with all black or grey basics, so chic!

GO HEAD TO TOE IN JADE
There is nothing more striking then a jade dress (or this amazing jumpsuit). Plus, showing up to holiday parties in this fabulous color is a show stopper compared to the usual red or black attire of holiday parties.

ADD A NEW WINTER COAT TO YOUR WARDROBE
If you are like me, your closet is packed with black and camel coats. As amazing as all my coats are (especially my black cashmere pea coat, my all time fave) they will never “say” nearly as much as these jade coats do. This will always be an amazing winter color, why not invest in a great winter coat in jade.

ADD JUST A POP OF JADE
There are amazing accessories out there in jade–purses, shoes, malachite jewelry, to, of course, scarves- a very
easy jade addition for winter. You can also take a cue from the article’s title and paint your nails with OPI’s “Jade is the New Black” polish!

ADD SOME MYSTERY TO YOUR WALLS
You can add jade to your walls. There are fabulous wallpapers out there for an accent wall or you can add a “shade of jade” to them. Jade works really nicely in a library or dining room, it is a very warm, welcoming color but has some mystery too.

HOME ACCENTS IN JADE
I always love adding a small dose of color to a neutral room, if you are one of those people who finishes a room just to start over, as I do. Simply add some small accents of whatever color you are obsessed with and change them out very easily when you have a new obsession. Here are my picks for adding Jade to your space.
